A Musical Evening with a medley of Jazz, Pop, Classical, Ballard, Opera, Rock and Christian Music (or Who said the Devil had all the Best Music?)
Saturday 6th March 2010 Doors open at 7.00pm (for a 7.30pm start) at Barcombe Village Hall. Tickets £10 each and available from the Village Shop & Turners Electrical Shop or from Janet Hughes (tel: 400157) or James Hollingsworth (tel: 400260).	Entrance fee includes light refreshments to be served during the intermission and a light and refreshing cocktail bar open throughout the evening. Barcombe Clubs Open Morning - meet Barcombe's many clubs and societies
Saturday 24th April 2010 10 - 12am at Barcombe Village Hall. Cakes, raffles, prizes and stuff.... More info coming soon......	Come along to discover Barcombe's many varied clubs and societies. There are a surprisingly large number active in the village covering such things as tennis, drama, bowls, gardening, cricket, bonfire, art, religion..... and much, much more...
Barcome Beating of the Bounds - a call for teams to take part!
Provisional day: Saturday 3rd JulyVenue: Barcombe village boundaries Definition: "Beating the Bounds" is an ancient custom still observed in many English parishes. The community would walk the boundaries of the parish, to share the knowledge of where they lay, and to pray for protection and blessings for the lands. The last Barcombe Beating of the Bounds took place in 1994, 2000 and 2004, so it's well past time we had another! In recent years the event followed the parish boundary as closely as possible and was divided into a number of sections with different activities for each such as: Mountain biking Dog walking Cycling Horse riding Running (2 sections) Boating Running in period costume with a pint of liquid (!!??)	Besides points for the fastest team there have also been competitions for mountain bike skill, best costume, level of liquid left, and the completion of a sentence from letters collected from marshall’s along the route. For 1994, 2000 and 2004 the winners have been the Football, Cornwell and Church Teams respectively. It is being proposed to run the event this year in similar style, although confirmation with Landowners, etc as well as the various Team Leaders has yet to take place. This is a call for teams to take part. The more the merrier.
