So far a total of £404,000 has been raised for the planning and construction of new village hall. This figure constitutes a combination of funds raised by the village, donations by villagers (and the addition of gift aid on those donations).

The sale of the village hall is expected to raise a minimum of £250,000

It is hoped that over the next couple of years around £75,000 will be raised via grants (some can be applied for immediately, others once building has begun). Further grants are available to the individual village societies too. Some societies are already applying themselves, e.g. for facilities such as stage lighting.

Over the course of the last 5 years the New Village Hall Committee has spent around £45,000. Ongoing and projected future costs will include:

1. Construction of the village hall (as this work is currently offered to tender it is inappropriate to state the estimated costs on a public web site)
2. Architect
3. Quantity surveyor
4. Further planning etc.
   

In all these costs means that we are still short of some funds to fully realise the Barcombe new village hall. So, if you feel that's it's worth contributing towards to what will undoubtably be a superb asset for our village community why not make a donation?
